Instrumental studies of the sound systems of the South Siberian Turkic languages revealed a deep connection between the phonico-phonological specificity of modern languages and the articulation structures formed at an early stage of the existence of the ethnic groups and preserved for centuries in their dominant features, accumulating and transmitting socio-historical experience. The articulatory-acoustic base as a system of coding and transmission of the ethno-linguistic information to subsequent generations of community is one of the markers of cultural and linguistic identity in the opposition of “our — other».
Keywords: cultural and linguistic identity, South Siberian Turkic languages, articulatory-acoustic bases.
