The study describes the results of the dendrochronological analysis of the Kazym (Yuilsk) Ostrog towers, which are now the exhibits of the Open-Air Museum of History and Architecture of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography SB RAS. Based on the data, the year 1745 was identifi ed as the date when the Ostrog was constructed. The reconstruction of the dynamics of fi res showed that the Ostrog was rebuilt due to the destruction of the preceding structure by fi re in 1742. The details of the construction history of the Kazym Ostrog confi rm the hypothesis that Russian wooden architecture was constantly renewed in different but related forms.
